5 Things to remember when you're having a bad day...

1. Even though it might feel like it right now, remember you haven't lost yourself or your way. You're still there, you're still you. Life is unpredictable, be patient with yourself.
2. Bad days, feelings and emotions all fluctuate and are ever changing. Tomorrow can be a better day, understand some things are out of your control or will change imminently, don't let them define you or your day.
3. Embrace your emotions as they come and go, they are what make us human. There is nothing wrong with having bad days, feeling low and struggling sometimes. Give your body what it needs, listen to it, respect it and honour it. There is no shame in whatever emotion you're experiencing, it wont last forever.
4. It's okay if you want to talk about how you feel. It's also okay if you don't. Don't feel pressured to behave in a certain way, do what helps centre you and brings you back to yourself. You are never a burden and no one will ever think any less of you for expressing yourself. Relieving your deepest thoughts can be liberating and sometimes all you need is a good listener.
5. No one is exempt of certain emotions, we all chose to express our selves differently. Don't ever be hard on yourself or compare your journey with someone else, we are all on different paths. Everyone experiences a time where they are struggling. Being strong isn't staying silent about how you feel.
